Headteacher's Welcome
St James Church of England Primary School is a welcoming, inclusive and diverse school on the edge of Northampton, close to Northampton Saints Rugby ground.
We are a Church of England school within the Peterborough Diocese Academy Trust (PDET). Together, we ensure that Christian ethos is at the heart of everything we do and that children across the Trust and within St James, flourish.
We welcome families from a wide variety of backgrounds which gives us an exciting multicultural mix of language and religion.
We are very proud of our local authority funded specialist provision for children who display social and emotional challenges and our inclusion base, The Ark, for our youngest children who need extra support to meet their needs.
We have a large Pastoral team that provides support to children and families across a wide range of wellbeing and safeguarding issues.
As well as our classrooms, studio, hall, children's kitchen, purpose built Nursery and library, we have fantastic outdoor learning spaces to explore nature and reflect in the environment. Our Reception children have a large outside provision and we have extensive spaces for play and PE including a large playing field, sports pitches on hard surfaces, trim trial and all weather Multi Use Games Area (astroturf) which is in use before and after school as well as during the school day.
Our breakfast and after school clubs provide wrap around care from 07:45 to 18:00.
Please explore our website further to find out more but please don't just read about St James - come and visit us to see it all in action!
Please contact one of our office staff (Laura, Jo or Gill) on 01604 751475 to ask any questions or to arrange a visit. Alternatively contact us on office@stjames.pdet.org.uk
